PhD position- computational geometry group- INRIA Nancy, France
A PhD position is available in the computational geometry group at INRIA Nancy ( http://gamble.loria.fr/ ).
The thesis will be supervised by Olivier Devillers ( https://members.loria.fr/Olivier.Devillers/ ).
The thesis will be focused on probabilistic analysis and simulations of geometric structures
( https://members.loria.fr/Olivier.Devillers/these-aspag.pdf ) and is funded by the
ANR project Aspag ( https://members.loria.fr/Olivier.Devillers/aspag/ )
Candidates should have a degree in computer science or mathematics.
Some knowledge of the following areas is welcome:
- probability theory
- analysis and design of algorithms
- computational geometry
- C++ programming.
The thesis is expected to last three years to start fall 2018, but there is some flexibility.
