Information geomery in the matroid representation theory
Matroids are special finite geometries. The partition representations of a matroid extend the classical linear or multilinear ones and can be defined equivalently in terms of Shannon entropies and also in terms of optimization problems featuring relative entropies. Algebraic matroids arise in extension fields. The talk will clarify how to embed them to the framework of algebraic geomery and to how to relate them to limiting
with entropies.
