The Institute of Stochastics of the Department of Mathematics at the
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is offering a research position
available after June 1, 2016. The appointment is for up to
two years at salary scale TVL-13. The position is funded by the
DFG-Research Unit "Geometry and Physics of Spatial Random Systems"(http://www.gpsrs.nat.uni-erlangen.de/), at the interface of mathematics
and physics.The well documented research interest of the applicant should be in
spatial stochastics and/or stochastic geometry. Applicants with a PhD in
physics, with interest in disordered materials (e.g. foams, granular
matter, percolation), are also encouraged to apply. The applicant is
expected to contribute to the projects and activities of the research
unit. In particular, a close cooperation with the members of the
DFG-Research Unit and the Institute of Stochastics
(http://www.math.kit.edu/stoch/en) of the Department of Mathematics
(http://www.math.kit.edu/en) at KIT (http://www.kit.edu) is highly welcome.KIT is pursuing a gender equality policy. Women are therefore
